Asia Quake

It was just the day before the earth quake that I was writing about religion! Religon says if we do something wrong we will be punished, in both our lives. There you go! What did all those poor people do wrong to have such a disaster fortune? Did they deserve all this? Poor people, poor poor people :(

I feel so sorry for them...I really wanna know WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD? Is God kind as it's been said in all holy books??!! Is he??!!! What is this? end of the world?!

It's the end of the world for some people within reach of the storm, but not in my country. It seemed like it took a couple of days before news media here began to take it seriously. It's the numbers, I guess; we have high regard for high numbers, whether dollars or deaths. The people aren't all like that, but all the institutions seem to be, such as the media and the government. Maybe they're not hateful, but the bureaucracies are never conducive to any immediate kindness.

hmmm. some would say, "the lord works in mysterious ways". i too wonder why horrible things happen to innocent people. all that were killed couldn't have been bad people. maybe it's mother nature's way of keeping the world's population down. who knows. my heart goes out to all the suffering families.

Ron,
I guess you are right, unfortunately the high number in any case has more attraction. As you said high number of dollars in any job attract people, and in this certain issue, when the high number of death appeared...everyone ran for help. Does this mean the poor people should be happy that the number of death and injured was high?!!

Texas Gurl,
I too sometimes think of what you said! Decreasing the population!

Thanks for the link to your Weblogs list. Coming as it does just before your "Useful" links list, I'd be tempted to rename the one above Useful as "Useless Links". But then, I can seldom resist a touch of Black Humor. But it's very nice of you!
